The Photon Cube

The Photon Cube is a Schtserv Exclusive item that is required to unlock several enhanced Equipment Conversion features on the Server. It is stored Server Side only and is linked to your Guild Card Number. The Photon Cube requires a certain amount of 'Charge' to use, depending on the item you want to create. The Cube charges in REAL TIME, not in-game time or Beat time, which is tracked by the Server.

FINDING THE PHOTON CUBE

The Photon Cube can be randomly discovered as a side quest while playing the Server quest 'The Eternal' (In order to play The Eternal, you must have completed 'Memory of the Hero' first). At the beginning of the quest, before departing for the surface, find Dr. Montague in the The Lab and talk to him. Agree to his terms and you will then have a chance of finding the Cube as you work your way through the quest. (You MUST talk to Montague to begin the side quest!!)

Once you begin to climb the Control Tower, you will face an enhanced 'Mini-Boss' every 10th Floor. After defeating the Mini-Boss, there is a chance that you will find the Photon Cube. The odds are as follows:

10th Floor: 1% Chance
20th Floor: 3% Chance
30th Floor: 5% Chance
40th Floor: 7% Chance
50th Floor: 10% Chance

A cut scene will play immediately after defeating the Mini-Boss when you discover the Cube. There will also be a Server Announcement message and a notification in the Discord channel #rare_drops to acknowledge your triumph. After finding the Cube, remember to go back and share the information with Dr. Montague.

USING THE PHOTON CUBE

Owning the Photon Cube opens up several Advanced Conversion features in the quest 'The Photon Lab'. When talking to the Vendor that provides the service, they will confirm that the Cube has enough of a time charge on it to perform the action.

Advanced Enemy Part Conversion

A Schtserv Exclusive feature that allows you to make Enemy Part weapons with Hit%! Talk to Dr. Montague to request an Advanced Conversion.

The following is required to do an Advanced Enemy Part Conversion:

Two (2) of the same enemy part in order to create a weapon.
A Photon Cube with a minimum charge of at least three (3) real time hours.

The Hit% will have a random value between 10-50%. The chances are:

10 Hit: 25%
20 Hit: 30%
30 Hit: 20%
40 Hit: 15%
50 Hit: 10%

Advanced Enemy Part Conversion can only be performed once every three (3) real time hours to give the Photon Cube time to recharge.

(Dr. Montague is unlocked immediately for regular Enemy Part Conversion in the Photon Lab. Montague will change one enemy part into the corresponding item with base stats.)

Advanced Love Heart Creation

This lets you forge a Love Heart armor with the proper DFP and EVP range. (The standard combination of [Spirit Garment + Magic Rock "Heart Key"] produces one with the minimum possible stats).

The following is required to create a Safety Heart:

a female character level 150 or higher
a Spirit Garment (the slots will carry over to the new armor)
a Magic Rock "Heart Key"
two (2) or four (4) Pieces of Heart
A Photon Cube with a minimum charge of at least 168 real time hours (7 days)

When you have a character with the required items in your Inventory, talk to Dr. Montague. A new option of '???' will appear.

If you use two (2) Pieces of Heart, the Love Heart will be created with the following stats: +10 to +50 DFP over base. +10 to +20 EVP over base.

If you use four (4) Pieces of heart, the Love Heart will be created with the following stats: +30 to +50 DFP over base. +10 to +20 EVP over base.

Advanced Safety Heart Creation

This will not be available to players who do not have the Shield DFP/EVP bugfix patch, as well as Xbox players

This lets you forge a Safety Heart armor with the proper DFP and EVP range. (The standard combination of [Invisible Guard + Magic Rock "Heart Key"] produces one with the minimum possible stats).

The following is required to create a Safety Heart:

a female character level 150 or higher
a Invisible Guard (stats do not matter)
a Magic Rock "Heart Key"
two (2) or four (4) Pieces of Heart
A Photon Cube with a minimum charge of at least 168 real time hours (7 days)

When you have a character with the required items in your Inventory, talk to Dr. Montague. A new option of '???' will appear.

If you use two (2) Pieces of Heart, the Safety Heart will be created with the following stats: +10 to +50 DFP over base. +8 to +15 EVP over base.

If you use four (4) Pieces of heart, the Safety Heart will be created with the following stats: +30 to +50 DFP over base. +8 to +15 EVP over base.

Advanced Orotiagito Conversion

This will allow you to change an Agito 1975 into an Orotiagito while retaining the Photon Percentages from the original weapon.

The following is required to create an Orotiagito with Percentages:

An Agito 1975
50 Schtserv Tokens
A Photon Cube with a minimum charge of at least 504 real time hours (21 days)

WARNING!!: Doing this conversion will DESTROY YOUR PHOTON CUBE! You may obtain a new one by re-running The Eternal to find it again.
